The Ohio State University Extension and Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center are teaming up to teach a Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Workshop to be held Thursday, February 26 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Marketing “Lunch & Learn” Workshop to be held Thursday, February 26 from 12:00 noon – 2:30 p.m. at the OSU Extension Office, Fulton County, 8770 State Route 108, Wauseon, Ohio.

The GAP Workshop is for producers who sell fruit and vegetables or other agricultural products directly to consumers (farmers' market vendors, CSAs, food cooperatives, greenhouses, etc).  Topics to be covered will be:  Water Quality, Worker Training-Health & Hygiene, Manure/Compost Handling, Domestic/Wild Animals and more.

There is a $20 fee for the GAP workshop and pre-registration is required by mailing a check payable to OSU Extension, 8770 State Route 108, Suite A, Wauseon, Ohio  43567 by February 20th. Click here to download a registration form and more information.

The CSA Marketing "Lunch & Learn" Workshop will be held from 12:00 noon - 2:30 p.m.  This is for those looking to begin a CSA or purchase from a CSA and after lunch the discussion will include start up considerations, trends, and case studies/panel.

If you are coming to the CSA workshop, there is a fee of $10 and pre-registration is required by mailing a check payable to OSU Extension, 8770 State Route 108, Suite A, Wauseon, Ohio  43567 by February 20th.
